Hi, my name is Orlando Portella Filho, I am 32 years old, married, no kids until May 2014.
I grew up in São Paulo, Brazil, where I lived all my life, except for an opportunity to stay for 6 months in England working as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth‘s Center, an institution that assists children and adults with epilepsy. Furthermore, I lived in Mexico for 5 months and shorter periods in Venezuela and the U.S.A..
I studied business administration at INSPER and majored in Business Strategy at Business School São Paulo (BSP). Since university, I have been working for FMCG companies in Brazil and other Latin American countries, accumulating 10 years of experience in Sales Development and Sales Execution.
I started my career in a consulting company (Integration Consulting), where I participated in more than 19 projects, focusing on design and implementation of go-to-market strategies and sales process for companies like Red Bull, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson; in Brazil and Latin America.
During my first professional experience, I realized the necessity of not just developing great projects, but executing and measuring results. After 4 years of work in managing consulting, I moved to Brasil Kirin (former Schincariol), the second largest beverage companies in Brazil, where I had the opportunity to develop a new commercial business model for draft beer and premium beer in the on-trade channel, delivering 35% of growth. Besides, I was responsible for sales in 7 countries, when I assumed the commercial area of the international business division. secure email server Afterwards, I managed the country’s most important sales region, São Paulo.
Recently, I was heading the FMCG’s segment at Overlap, a consultancy dedicated to improve sales performance, when the opportunity came along to join Krombacher’s international sales team. Brazil is the third largest beer market in the world with very promising developments in both the premium and super-premium segment.
I am passionate for beer and what really excites me is the opportunity to build the Krombacher brand into something significant from scratch.
